BG: How long have you been taking photographs professionally or unprofessionally?

T: I officially started by Boudoir Business in 2019, but was photographing other genres since 2016 - 8 years!

BG: What would you say is your photography style?

T: Sensual, Warm and Moody

BG: Where do you most love to shoot?

T: 90% of the time I shoot out of my own professional studio in East Vancouver - it is my happy place!

However I will take on outdoor sessions for past clients and creative shoots - I recently had a creative session in a hidden river in North Vancouver just a few months ago - it was fun! And I was super grateful to have my Top Shelf camera bag with me so I didn't have to worry about where to set my stuff down!

BG: What is your go-to camera/lens?

T: I’m a Nikon girl and my fave lens is my 24-70mm.

BG: Do you have any advice for aspiring photographers?

T: Shoot, shoot, shoot! You can spend years in classes and workshops and studying the theory of what you should and shouldn’t do. But the only way to really learn and grow as a photographer is to actually shoot, make mistakes and learn from them. And once you start your business, whatever you are planning on charging, RAISE YOUR PRICES! It is so sad how many talented photographers give up on their dreams because they charge next to nothing for their artwork. What you put out in the world is so much more than just pictures-Charge accordingly.

BG: What has your experience been like so far using the Top Shelf?

T: I absolutely LOVE it!! That session inside a river would have been so much more difficult if I would have had to trek in and out of the water to access my gear. I literally had everything right at my hip, it is absolutely life changing, especially for photographers that shoot outdoors and on the go on a regular basis. I also love all the storage options, I feel like my laptop is really safe and secure in the laptop sleeve, it is super sturdy and protective.
